Snappy Resin Cast in Progress

Snappy is the monster camera. He takes photos of the monster world. He sees what you cannot. He also bites fingers! See how Snappy smiles?!

This photo shows me building the mold for Snappy.

I’ve been working on a new resincast toy here the last couple of weeks… sculpting, refining, and then building a mold for Snappy. Now we’re in production… though it’s really just started. (Total Snappys made: 3).

The photo shows the basic body for Snappy; he’ll have a nice shiny lens eye and a large lens housing on top of that. He’ll be painted, and he’ll look much more fancy than this little preview. He’s inspired by a little Kodak Brownie camera that my dad left me. The first run will have a dark brown (or black) body, with silver details.

You’ll be able to wear Snappy around your neck like a real camera!

Snappy will debut at either the Phoenix Comicon or the San Diego Comic-Con. (Depending on how the next few weeks go.)
