Washington Irving wrote the short story Legend of Sleepy Hollow, in 1820. It's always been an iconic story, with it's terrific villain the Headless Horseman.
I've been wanting to illustrate this one for ages, and finally gave myself the chance this fall. (2011) It tried to honor it the best that I could, with a big orange jack-o-lantern. I hope you dig it as much as I enjoyed creating it.
